For added flexibility, we've partnered with Klarna, a trusted third-party payment provider, allowing you to make payments over three months with 0% interest. We understand that in the current climate, managing expenses can be challenging, so we're here to make it as convenient as possible for you.

Is Easy Service and MOT Ltd insured?

Absolutely! We prioritise the safety and peace of mind of our customers and their vehicles. Easy Service and MOT Ltd holds comprehensive trade insurance to cover all aspects of our services. This means that your vehicle is protected while it's in our care, and you can trust us to handle it with the utmost professionalism and care. What happens if you can't get my car back the same day?

At Easy Service and MOT Ltd, we aim to provide exceptional service. If you choose our Full service and MOT package and we pick up your car before 10 a.m., we'll strive to return your vehicle to you on the same day, assuming it passes the MOT on the first attempt. We're committed to efficiency.

As part of our dedication to your satisfaction, if, for any reason, you don't receive your vehicle within 12 hours from the time we picked it up, you will receive a 10% discount on your bill as our way of apologising for any delay.

​

However, if your car fails its MOT and you choose for us to rectify the issues, we'll still work diligently to return your car as quickly as possible. In such cases, our commitment to the 10% pledge may not apply because we may need to wait for specific parts to be delivered, which is sometimes beyond our control. Rest assured, we will keep you informed throughout the process to minimize any inconvenience.

We're here to provide transparent and efficient service, ensuring your vehicle is safe and roadworthy. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us. Remember, we are a family-run company and are here to help.

Do you do any work without my approval?

No! We would require clear consent from you via e-mail, WhatsApp or via our online web chat before any work is carried out. The costs and description of the work will be sent to you via an invoice.

 

What happens if my car fails its MOT?

If your vehicle happens to fail its MOT, relax – Easy Service and MOT Ltd have got your back. You can leave your car with us for those essential repairs. As long as the necessary fixes are completed within 10 working days of the initial test, we'll retest your vehicle for free. We would aim to complete these essential repairs the same day and get your car back to you. However, in the event that we aren't able to do so, we will try our very best to get it back to you the next day.

What are the different types of defects?

Dangerous Defects: These are the ones you can't ignore. A dangerous defect means your car is not roadworthy, and it's illegal to drive it on the road, even to or from an MOT test. These defects must be fixed before you hit the road again.
 

Major Defects: While major defects will also lead to an MOT fail, they don't render your vehicle unroadworthy. If your current MOT certificate is still valid and there are no dangerous defects, you can drive it away to get it fixed.
 

Minor Defects: These are less severe issues that won't cause your vehicle to fail its MOT, but it's still a good idea to address them soon.

Are there discounts if I service & MOT multiple cars with you?

Yes, we offer discounts for servicing and MOT when you bring in multiple cars. To get your discounted price, simply provide us with the make and model of the vehicles you want to service and MOT. Our team will calculate your total price with the discount offered, ensuring you receive cost-effective service for all your vehicles.

What happens when you pick up my car?

To ensure absolute transparency and your peace of mind, we go the extra mile. We completely understand that cars can accumulate a few bumps and scratches through everyday use. Therefore, before we pick your car up, we perform a full 360-degree video recording of your vehicle. This means you'll have a clear record of your car's condition when it's in our care, right down to the tiniest detail.

How much does a Service & MOT cost?

At Easy Service and MOT Ltd, our Service & MOT packages start from just £189. We offer competitive pricing to ensure your car receives thorough servicing and passes its MOT inspection without breaking the bank. Our transparent pricing reflects our commitment to affordability while maintaining high-quality standards. Please note that the final cost may vary depending on the specific requirements of your vehicle and any additional services you may choose.

Can an expired MOT certificate invalidate my insurance?

​

When your MOT has lapsed, it can potentially impact your insurance coverage, depending on the terms of your policy. Many insurance providers mandate a valid MOT certificate, which means your insurance might become void if you fail to adhere to this requirement.

Even if your insurance policy doesn't explicitly demand an MOT, it remains a legal obligation that your vehicle must be roadworthy and safe to drive according to the law.

Can you still service and MOT my car if my MOT certificate has expired?

Absolutely! We are fully insured to pick up and drive your car, even if your MOT certificate has expired or if your car is not taxed. We have trade plates that are displayed clearly on your vehicle during transportation, ensuring that all legal requirements are met. Rest assured, we'll take care of your car and get it back to you in top condition.

Can I appeal my MOT decision?

If you believe your vehicle received an unfair MOT result, you can appeal. Just reach out to the test centre to discuss why your vehicle failed. If you still believe it's unjust, you can complete a complaint form and send it to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) within 14 working days of the test. The DVSA will review your case and may offer a retest. If your vehicle passes the retest, you'll even get a part or full refund of the fee.


 

Can I get my car repairs done elsewhere?

If you prefer to have your car repaired elsewhere, that's no problem. You can still bring it back to us for a free retest as long as you return it before the end of the next working day. Please remember that this option is only available if your current MOT certificate is still valid and the MOT test didn't flag any dangerous defects.

Do you offer advice on buying cars?

Yes, we provide bespoke advice to help you make an informed decision. Our experienced team can guide you through the process, considering your specific needs and preferences.

Are the cars you sell fully MOT'd and serviced?

Absolutely! Every car we offer for sale undergoes a comprehensive MOT test and servicing to ensure it meets the highest standards of safety and performance.

Can I test-drive a car before buying it?

Of course! We encourage our customers to take a test drive to get a feel for the vehicle. Simply contact us to arrange a convenient time.

What if I have a specific model in mind?

We will do our best to pick out the perfect car for you, taking into account our experience of dealing with different makes and models. We will do background checks to ensure that necessary work has been done. Please note that a small fee may apply for a full check.

Do you offer financing options?

No, we do not; however, there may be other ways of financing a vehicle through low-interest loans/ repayments through other providers. You must do your own research regarding this, as we are not qualified to give such advice.

Can I trade-in/part exchange my current vehicle?

Absolutely! We accept trade-ins, and our team can provide a fair appraisal of your current vehicle's value.

What if I'm looking for a specific feature or customisation?

We're here to accommodate your specific preferences. If you're looking for certain features or customisations, let us know, and we'll search for a vehicle that matches your criteria.

Do you offer delivery services?

Yes, we provide delivery options for your convenience. We can deliver your chosen car to your home or workplace. Please note that if you are located outside of specific locations a travel fee may apply.
